A Girl Behind Every Perfect Wedding :)

“Tantantanan-tantantanan.. You may kiss the bride!” It’s the most awaited line for every girls’ and boys’ dream. Getting inlove, getting MARRIED. The perfect day for a lovely couple who is deeply in love: WEDDING DAY.

When I was I kid I always dream of being a bride, wearing a flowy white gown, with a thin veil on my hair, tulips on my hands, walking in a red carpet,, holding my dad’s hand, a kiss from my mom and giving their full blessing to the man of my life. Awwww sound good and sweet. It’s a like a dream that I don’t wanna to wake up.

But when time goes by, I got inlove with weddings, not as bride but the WOMEN behind every WEDDING. Being the WEDDING PLANNER :)

Way back 5 years ago, I watched this lovely feel good movie of Jennifer Lopez, The Wedding Planner.

I did buy a copy (ORIGINAL CD) hehehe! I wished I was her when I was a kid, She looks so very stunning, with their own version first aid kit around her hips (Evian water, Pins, Needle, Thread, Glue, etc things that you need for a wedding. A WEDDING EMERGENCY) hehehe! COOL! with headset on my ears with the other associates through all out the wedding. Hehehe!

So I dreamed of being like her. I’ve drown wedding gowns with my own designs, listing my own checklist for a wedding, searching design of venues through the net and watching weddings at television. I loved attending weddings of my family and friends. I always scrutinize details of every wedding that I’ve attended: Here are some of the snaps from weddings that really caught my attention:

Tin-Oyo Wedding

Karen-Paolo Wedding :)
One of the best wedding preparation ever.
this wedding made me cry.
I'm sure! it will last FOREVER. :)

When I was in college, I’ve got my first wedding planner project, Thanks to my lovely friend Aprille and Aeyan. They asked for my help, and by that time I’m planning to pursue this career and then I’m blessed with a client. Hehehe! This is a very tough event to organize. They want it very nice with a month preparation. YES! You read it right. A month! Plus with a tight budget! Waaah. I started planning everything right after the chitchat about the wedding. I researched for venues, caterers, detail etc. I’m very glad that I could do whatever I want to do.

boo! I'm the WEDDING PLANNER :)

This is what I’ve done during my first project: (wedding planner styled: Mauii Perry)

1. Talk to the couple. Consider their thoughts and ideas for the wedding. Remember! This is their wedding not yours. Hehehe!

2. Planning the date, time and number of guest.

3. I made my own checklist to not to forget details for it.

4. FYI: Check budget and limit.

5. Then, research for possible supplier and venue.

6. Get contacts for possible suppliers.

7. Set dates for ocular visit, food tasting, checking of stuffs for the wedding.

8. Planned to attend a wedding expo, but I didn’t make it. Sorry it’s my hell week at school FINALS hahahaha!

9. Set schedules for decision making (venue, caterers etc)

10. Planning your entourage. (pick the best ones)

11. Programs and ceremony flow, decide.

12. Details that we need for the wedding (candles, veils, etc).

13. Consider five choices for every option. (caterers, venue, souvenirs)

14. After you set the venue, now check that capacity of the area for the guest.

15. Distribute invites 4 weeks before the wedding

16. You can have bridal registry for the gifts you want to get.

17. Layouts and table numbers.

18. Set table according to categories. (bride and groom immediately family, friends, etc)

19. 3-2 Months before the wedding the entourage gowns should be ready.

20. RSVP for the invites to check the limit of guest.

21. Put attire for the invites to avoid inappropriate clothes for your events.

22. Suggest escort cards and place cards to avoid rumbling with guest seats.

23. Prepare set of songs that you want to play in the ceremony and reception (live or mp3)

24. Better to have a host for the program.

25. It’s better to have pre-nuptial photoshoot, Photo could be use for the tags, tarp especially for audio visual presentation.

26. It’s better to have a wedding rehearsal to avoid unnecessary motion during the ceremony.

27. Orient your entourage for the flow of the ceremony.

28. It’s better to have associates during the wedding one in the registration, flow of the ceremony and handling entourage.

29. Keep copies of the guest. Flow of the program. Remember you are the wedding planner; you need to know every single of the wedding.

30. Just think that this is your wedding so you want the most out of it and ENJOY!
