FIVE: Best Scenes from the movie: "ONE MORE CHANCE" :)

"All the pain will be worth it"

One of my favorite line from the blockbuster movie "One More Chance"

Starring Bea Alonzo as the Iconic "Basha" and John Lloyd Cruz as the all time favorite boyfriend of all girls out there, "Popoy"

I can still remember that I've watched this movie on it's first day showing, and until now, I'm still watching this movie, over and over again, around 100times I think, I swear! (already have a copy on my phone haha!)

The story was about a long time sweethearts from college, an architect and an engineer.

Five years in a relationship and planned to get married. Set up goals and planned a better future.

Basha was fed up with their relationship routine. It's all about Popoy most of the time, that's how Basha felt with the growth of their relationship.

 Until Basha, decided to take another step on their relationship, to leave Popoy, but for Popoy, nothing but his love for her.

Basha wanted her personal growth without Popoy, she wanted to prove her worth without any help from Popoy.  

Popoy became miserable and still pursuing his love for Basha, but Basha wont let him. 

Until they met again almost three months after their break up. Basha, on her new career but Popoy was still a mess, Popoy tried to patch things up between them but, it didn't push through. Popoy finally saw a life after after he almost killed himself from drunk driving luckily he didn't get harm.

Months later, Popoy found a new love while Basha is still single and happy with her new career. Finally, they meet again and like nothing happened from their past.

One day faith brought them together, that they need to work on Popoy's aunt new house. They promised that they will work for that house. So they have no choice but to stay close and work together. 

At first, they felt akward working together but eventually they get used to the new set up of working together, until Basha finally met Popoy's new love Tricia. Basha is still inlove with Popoy. She realized that she wanted Popoy to her life again, but too late. 

Basha cannot take it anymore, she speak out her mind and told Popoy that she wanted him back to her life, but Popoy told her how hurt he was when she let Popoy months ago and threw that famous line "she loved me at my worst, you had me at my best and you chose to break my heart".

Trisha noticed Popoy was still in love with his Ex. She asked if Popoy is still inlove with Basha, but Popoy didn't answered back. To her realization, she let go of Popoy.

Popoy and Basha wanted to bring back what they had before, but everytime they remember all the hurt from the past, they cannot move on and live the love that they have. They decided to separate for the meantime until they bring back the old Popoy and Basha that they used to love.

Years later, Popoy and Basha saw each other and promise not to leave each other again.

They became iconic with their best "hugot" lines. They really marked and top Filipino Loveteam in Showbiz. 

Who can still recall these memorable lines:

 1. Bash hindi mo ba alam yung  "3 month rule"? - Popoy

(may ganun pala haha! doon ko lang nalaman)

2. The chicken skin scene, "Poy, Ngayon lang" - Basha

(nang dahil sa chicken skin haha! Bigat!)

3. "Poy, I want space"- Basha

(famous space, san ba yan nabibili, napakasikat eh haha)

4. "Pare, not so nice to meet you" - Popoy

(eh kung sing Gwapo talaga ni Derek yung makikita mong kasama ng Ex mo eh,

not so nice to meet you nga hahaha! Joke!)

5. "All the pain will be worth it" - Krizzy
(my most favorite line on this movie, obviously, intro ko ito agad haha!)

6. "Parang walang Basha, Pag walang Popoy" - Basha

(O.M.G, yun lang masasabi ko. No question to ask hahaha!)

Sobrang niyakap ng lahat si Popoy at Basha, maraming nakitawa, nakikilig, naki-iyak at marami ding umako ng sakit sa puso ni Popoy (at isa ako doon haha!) Maraming nakakarelate sa storya ng buhay ni Popoy at Basha. Maraming naki-angkin ng lovelife ng dalawang ito (Am I Right? haha), Ang dami kong narinig sa mga kaibigan ko, na halos mala-Popoy at Basha ang kanilang lovelife. Marami ang humugot sa mga linyahan ni Popoy at Basha (aminado ako isa ako doon haha!) Maraming tinamaan sa mga batuhan ng mga linya ng dalawa, maraming nagsabi na "teka parang ako yun ah" Aminin? Pero, mas madaming umasa, na sana "Sana ako na lang, Ako na lang ulit" maraming nakiBasha sa linyang ito. haha! #HugotPa! Marami din ang mga naiwang tanong sa kanilang isipan, paano kung pareho ni Basha yung ginawa nila, magiging masaya din ba sila, o hindi nila gagayahin yung ginawa ni Basha na pag-iwan ni Popoy, ngunit hanggang kelan nila kayang panindigan ang bawat isa. (at ang tanong na yan ay naitanong lang din naman sa akin haha)

Enough with my hugot and your hugot, here's my favorite scene from the movie:

1. Basha said her personal thoughts about their relationship and decided to end what they have. That favorite line, " I want to stop wondering "what if ", I want to know "what is".

Well on Basha's side, maybe she wanted something that can still prove her worth by not depending on Popoy all the time. This maybe a case of looking for self-worth, she wanted to increase her self esteem and confidence, economic strength and self worth without anyone around her. Like what she said on her line "Parang walang Basha pag walang Popoy". It's about her self completeness and growth that she can't imagine, while Popoy is always there. He never realized that he was too controlling with Basha's life decision, aside from the fact that their getting married, it doesn't give him the right to intrude on every decision of Basha, he may help or support but not to decide for Basha.

While, on Popoy's side, He just want the best for their future. He works hard for the both of them and save money for their future. He always wanted to save Basha everytime she caused trouble at work. He wanted to make things out for Basha most of the time, He just want to fall things on what they plan. That's Popoy.

But,  he ignored the fact that sometimes she forgets that Basha has her own mind to speak out on their relationship. He didn't realized that every time he controls Basha, it loosen Basha's Faith, and thinks if this is still the right idea to be together. We cannot ignore the fact that they are different people with different personality,

2. Basha found a new job and life after break up with Popoy. She finally attended their Barkada's Thursday night dinner, She's with his new officemate, Mark. Unexpectedly, Popoy showed up and saw them, thinking that they were together. Until, Popoy fired up and had a little fight with Basha, That famous line "ang sakit sakit na" Ooooh Popoy! I feel you! (Hugot pa Mau! haha)

Feels! Eto huhugot na ako! haha! 

For Basha, I know naman na hiwalay na sila, but kasi alam din ni Basha na still hoping si Popoy na maayos ang lahat, then nakita na may kasama pang iba kahit sabihin natin hindi sila, eh yung isa nag-assume. Alam mo naman pag- "In Pain" ang tao vulnerable sila sa lahat ng nakapaligid sa kanila, Sensitive, I must say. Sana kung pumunta siya, Siya muna. (Sorry Bash! haha)

For Popoy naman, hindi din muna nagtanong kasi, nag assume agad. Remember: "Maraming namamatay sa Maling Akala" hahaha! Pero, gets ko hugot mo Popoy! pero next time, Tanong tanong muna okay? haha! ng walang "not so nice to meet you" haha! Sige na! Sa akin na lang yung binalatan mong chicken hahaha!

3. Confrontation part, Basha still admits that she's not over with Popoy and still hoping to be together again. To choose her and Love her again, but Popoy is now with Tricia (New Girl). Basha admits that she's in pain seeing him with another girl that she should not feel that way. 

That famous and all time favorite hugot lines:

"Kasi ang totoo, umaasa ako na sana sabihin mo, Sana ako pa rin ,ako na lang" - Basha

 "She loved me at my worst, you had me at my best and you chose to break my heart". - Popoy

Mamaya na ako mag rereact dami ko ng hugot hahaha!

          

4. Hospital Scene, Chinno commits suicide after being left by Cathy (Fiance). All of his friends were there, but he was looking for Popoy. Popoy came with Tricia, He talked to Chinno reminding him what he told Popoy when he was in that situation. 

I cried a river while watching this scene, and everytime I got a chance to watch this scene again, IYAK kung IYAK! haha! Madami ang natamaan at madaming naki-isa kay Popoy at isa ata ako doon hahaha joke! Ramdam mo talaga si Popoy dito (The best ka talaga Lloydie nabigyan mo ng bonggang Justice ang mga iniwan ng kanilang minamahal) hahaha! LOL, but its true, maybe there's a bigger plans for you. Kung hindi man siya ang para sayo may mas higit na karapatdapat na taong magmamahal sayo. Tama? haha! oh tama na iyakan na naman haha!

5. When Popoy and Basha, decided for a time off between them. They decided to separate for the meantime until they bring back the old Popoy and Basha that they used to love.

Wala na akong hugot dito, tama yung desisyon nila, kesa magkasakitan sila. Hanapin muna nila ang isat isa na nasira sa relasyon nila, at pag buo na ulit sila handa na sila ulit umibig (ang lalim ng hinugot ko doon, san nanggaling yun? hahaha!)

Thank you Popoy and Basha, tinuruan mo ang mga taong umibig, humugot at umasa sa One More Chance. haha!
